RemJobs runs a loop. You describe the work you want, we check the source on a schedule, and the moment a career page changes in a way that matches, you hear about it.

You pick what to watch
Set the roles, companies, locations and skills that matter to you. An alert can be as tight as one title at one company, or as broad as an entire function across every region.

We check the source
Each career page, and the hiring system sitting behind it, is fetched on its own schedule. Pages that post often get checked more often than pages that have been quiet for months.

We compare it against the last check
Every fetch is diffed against the one before it. A listing that wasn't there last time is a new listing, and the moment we first see it becomes its detection time.

You get the alert
Matches go out as they're found rather than being collected into a daily digest — a digest is how you end up applying on day two alongside everyone else.

Closed roles leave the feed
When a listing disappears from the source, it disappears from your feed at the next check. Nothing sits around gathering applications after the door has already shut.

Where the listings come from.
A role exists on the employer's own site before it exists anywhere else. That is the copy RemJobs reads — the whole board, not a filtered slice of it.

What “fresh” actually means here.
Every listing carries the time since RemJobs first saw it — not a date somebody typed into a field, which is often stale, and frequently missing altogether. That timestamp is the whole product.

How often does RemJobs check a career page?
Each source gets its own schedule based on how often it actually changes. A company that posts weekly is checked far more often than one that has not moved in six months, which is what keeps detection fast without hammering anyone's site.
What counts as a new job?
Anything present in a check that was not present in the check before it. That comparison is also what sets the detection timestamp shown on every listing.
Does RemJobs use job board feeds?
No. Listings come from the employer's own careers page and the applicant tracking system behind it. Reading the source directly is the reason a role can reach you before the aggregators have it at all.
What happens to a job once it closes?
It drops out of your feed at the first check that no longer finds it, so what you are reading is what is still open rather than an archive.
Will I get alerts for roles I can't actually take?
Alerts only fire on the roles, locations, workplace types and skills you set. Every listing carries whether it is remote, hybrid or onsite, plus the regions it is open to, so you can scope an alert to fully remote worldwide roles and never hear about anything else.
